Certifications and professional credentials confirmed.

3
Identity authentication

Identity verified, with background checks for on-site work.

4
Technical competency

Digital competency checks on the tools used in session.

5
Workspace audit

Camera framing, sound quality, and internet speed assessed.

Interpreters also complete ongoing professional development, including medical terminology training, HIPAA and compliance refreshers, and simulation-based interpreting practice for clinical settings.

FAQ

Interpretation services, answered

Interpretation involves converting spoken language in real-time from one language to another, while translation deals with written text. Interpreters work with live communication during meetings, conferences, or appointments, whereas translators work with documents, websites, and other written materials.

We provide consecutive interpretation (speaker pauses for interpretation), simultaneous interpretation (real-time interpretation using equipment), phone interpretation, video remote interpretation (VRI), on-site interpretation, and conference interpretation.

OPI is audio-only and ideal for quick or urgent calls. VRI adds video support for visual cues and sign language interpreting.

VI is for scheduled sessions, while VRI is for on-demand sessions. VI is done through your preferred platform, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. VRI is done through the Ad Astra technology platform.

For common languages, we recommend booking at least 48 to 72 hours in advance. For rare languages or specialized subject matter, please provide 1 week notice. However, we also offer same-day and emergency interpretation services as needed.

We work exclusively with certified, professionally trained interpreters who have extensive experience in their specializations. All interpreters undergo rigorous screening, testing, and ongoing professional development to maintain the highest standards. Screening includes fluency testing, credential verification, identity authentication, digital competency checks, and a workspace audit covering camera, audio, and internet quality.

Yes, we offer comprehensive remote interpretation services for video conferences, webinars, and virtual meetings through platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and other video conferencing tools.

Pricing depends on factors including language pair, type of interpretation, duration, location, subject matter complexity, and whether equipment is needed. We typically charge by the hour with minimum booking requirements, and provide detailed quotes based on your specific needs.

We provide interpretation services in over 300 languages and dialects, including commonly requested languages like Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic, French, and German, as well as rare and indigenous languages worldwide.
