Medical Interpreting Course

This comprehensive 56-hour medical interpretation course goes well beyond the traditional 40-hour medical health interpreter training program. Added features include detailed instruction in the areas of anatomy, physiology, and procedures, as well as mental health interpreting.

The course provides a comprehensive and in-depth overview to interpreters of what it takes to successfully interpret in medical environments through 40 hours of guided coaching and practice in interpretation as well as 16 hours of instruction on interpretation theory, professionalism and ethics, and medical terminology. On the final day of the course, students are presented with tips on how to market themselves and build a resume.
